The Tai-Ex opened up 57-points this morning from yesterday's close, at 14,979 on turnover of $4.36-billion N-T.
The Tai-Ex rebounded from early losses on Wednesday, to closed the trading up more than 100 points on the back of increased investor interest in large-cap tech and transportation stocks.
However, turnover remained thin, as many investors opted to stay on the sidelines ahead of the conclusion of the U-S Federal Reserve's policymaking meeting.
Police Arrest of 50 in Cross-Border Charity Scam

The Criminal Investigation Bureau says 50 people have been arrested in connection with an investigation into a cross-border fraud ring.
According to law enforcement authorities, the ring had defrauded (騙取) people here in Taiwan out of 34-million N-T since July of last year.
The investigation bureau says the system of a software company that managed the fundraising database for various charities was hacked and that allowed the fraud ring to obtain information about people who made regular donations.
The fraud ring called its victims from China and tricked them into believing that donations they made had not gone through.
They the gave the donors another bank account number belonging to members of the gang and asked them transfer the money into that account via A-T-M.
A total of 45 charities were affected.
The case is now being handled by the New Taipei District Prosecutors' Office.
Ukraine Hits Key Russian Bridge

The Ukrainian military says it has used a U.S.-supplied precision rocket system to destroy a strategically important bridge used by Russia.
The deputy head of the Moscow-appointed administration in the Kherson region said Ukrainian artillery struck the Antonivskyi Bridge late Tuesday.
The bridge is used by Russia to supply its forces in the occupied region in southern Ukraine.
He says previous Ukranian attacks damaged the bridge last week but the span (跨度、間距) had to be closed to vehicles on Wednesday.
The Ukrainian military confirmed that ``surgical strikes'' were carried out on the bridge.
US Offers Prisoner Swap for Griner

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has revealed that the United States has proposed a prisoner swap (交換) with Russia in an effort to secure the release of two American detained in Moscow.
Businessman Paul Whelan and women's basketball star Britney Griner may be traded for a Russian arms dealer serving a 25 year sentence in the US.
