So far nearly 20 lawmakers have tested positive, including Gao Jia-yu, Jiang
Wan-an, Cai Shi-ying, Cai Bi-ru and Qiu Zhi-wei.

U-S technology company Google says Taiwan was the eighth most searched
country on Google's Street View over the past 12 months,
Data from May 2021 to April 2022 showed that Taiwan and Taipei both ranked
eighth among the most searched countries and cities, respectively.
Indonesia was the most searched country during the same period, followed by
the United States, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Spain and Italy.
On its list of the 25 most searched spots on Street View in Taiwan: Baishatun
Gongtian Temple (白沙屯拱天宮) in Miaoli County, Taipei 101, Hanshin Arena
Shopping Plaza (漢神巨蛋購物廣場) in Kaohsiung, and the Fuzhong metro station
in New Taipei.
Globally, the most searched spot was the Burj Khalifa -- the world's tallest
building in Dubai -- followed by the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Taj Mahal
in India

US president Joe Biden has addressed the nation in the wake of
(在...之後，通常用在災難之後) the elementary school shooting in Texas that
killed at least 18 students and 2 adults.
Police identified the suspected gunman as Salvador Ramos, an 18 year old
local resident, who was shot and killed by police.
The motive (動機) remains unknown.
It's the deadliest shooting at a US school since 20 children and six staff
members were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut in 2012.
Speaking from Washington Biden compared the horrific scenes to a battlefield
(戰場).
Biden spoke of the grief the parents are facing after losing a young child.
Biden also demanded that lawmakers act to "stand up to the gun lobby" and
pass stricter gun legislation.
South Korea's government says one of the three weapons North Korea launched
today was a suspected intercontinental ballistic missile (洲際彈道飛彈).
South Korea's government says the North Korean launches are "a grave
provocation (挑釁)'' that threaten international peace.
It says North Korea will only face international isolation if it continues
its provocation.
The launches today come after US President Joe Biden wrapped up (結束) his
trip to Asia, where he reaffirmed a U.S. commitment to defend its allies in
the face of the North's growing nuclear threat.
Hours before the North's missile launches, U.S. State Department spokesperson
Ned Price told reporters in Washington that North Korea may be on the verge
of (即將) a major weapons test.
