1. Cabinet Approves Special Bill for Domestic Arms Procurement
行政院批准國內武器採購特別法案
內文：
The Cabinet has approved a draft defense bill that will authorize a special allocation (分配) of up to 240-billion N-T for the purchase of indigenous weapons systems over a five-year period.
According to the draft bill, the acquisitions (收購) will include shore-based anti-ship missiles, field and ground-based air defense systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, air-to-ground and surface-to-surface cruise missiles systems, and submarines.
The special budget also includes funding to purchase to new weapon systems for the Coast Guard Administration

2. Obama Endorses Trudeau in Canada Election

Former US President Barack Obama is endorsingCanadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in the Canadian election.
Obama tweeted Thursday that he was proud to work with Trudeau and described him as an effective leader who has strong democratic values.
It is a rare endorsement of a candidate in a Canadian election by a former American president but the second time Obama has done it.
