The Tai-Ex opened down 10-points this morning from Friday's close, at 17,274 on turnover of 8.1-billion N-T.
The market continued momentum from a session earlier on Friday, to move sharply higher, pushing up the benchmark index to above the 17,200-point mark at the close of trading, as investors were encouraged by a rally on Wall Street overnight.
The bellwether electronics sector led the upturn (（尤指經濟的）好轉，回升，改善), as bargain hunters opted to take advantage of a correction in large tech stocks, while large cap old economy stocks ended the day mixed.
MOFA Unable to Arrange charter flight for Taiwanese out of India

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says it has been unable to arrange a charter flight before the end of May for Taiwanese nationals who want to leave India.
According to the ministry, it was working with the Friendship Tour travel agency to provide a charter flight before May 30, but the airline it was working with was unable to provide charter services due to difficulties in scheduling (為…安排時間；安排，排定) a crew.
The ministry is now urging those still in the country to book commercial flights if they wish to return.
MRT Worst Place for Sexual Harassment in Taipei

The Taipei Metro police say most cases of sexual harassment and secret photography in the city's M-R-T system over the past five years occurred (發生) at three downtown stations.
Most offenses were reported at the Zhongxiao-Fuxing Station.
That was followed by Taipei Main Station and the Zhongxiao-Dunhua Station.
Police say patrols have now been reinforced (增援；加強…的力量) at 16 stations on the list of hotspots for such crimes.
Sudan Deports Ethiopian Peacekeepers

Sudanese authorities have deported around three dozen Ethiopian peacekeepers, working in the U.N. mission in Darfur, to a refugee camp.
The head of the refugee agency in North Darfur province, says the troops are among 120 Ethiopian forces from the Tigrayan ethnic group, who have sought asylum in Sudan earlier this year.
The troops refused to return to their home country, Ethiopia, for fear of being detained (拘留，扣押) by the Addis Ababa government.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has waged war since November against the regional government in Tigray, claiming that Tigray forces had attacked a military base.
He has also swept up thousands of Tigrayans into detention centers across Ethiopia.

Israel Approves Parade Despite Tensions

Israeli police have given the go-ahead to the annual Jerusalem Day parade, a display of Israeli claims to all of the contested city.
Today's parade will pass through the Old City, which was captured and annexed (（通常指用武力或擅自）吞併；強佔) by Israel in the 1967 war.
The march was approved amid ongoing clashes between police and Palestinian worshippers and protesters in the Old City.
Before dawn Sunday, thousands of Muslim worshippers skirmished anew with police at the gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
