Tai-Ex opening

The Tai-Ex opened down 41-points this morning from yesterday's close, at 15,687 on turnover of 3.4-billion N-T.
The market staged a technical rebound (技術性反彈) Tuesday, gaining more than 360 points as investors looked to take advantage of a recent slump (下挫) on the main board to pick up bargains (逢低買進).
Buying focused on large-cap tech stocks, which had taken a beating in recent sessions, while financial and old economy heavyweights (金融股，傳產股) also rebounded to lend additional support to the broader market.
Aftershocks Continue Following Hualien Magnitude 6 Earthquake

Aftershocks are continuing to rattle (動搖) the Hualian area following Monday's magnitude 6 earthquake.
The Central Weather Bureau reported four quakes in the area overnight and they all registered (紀錄) magnitude 3.5.
The two quakes that stuck at 2:52AM and 3:08AM registered 3s on the Central Weather Bureau's intensity scale (震度).
While a quake that struck at 4:52 was felt the strongest -- and it registered 4 on the intensity scale in Hualien's Ji-Qi area.
An earlier quake, which struck at 12:59, registered a 2 on the scale, and that was also felt in parts of Yilan.
The Central Weather Bureau's Seismological Center has warned that aftershocks from Monday's quake will be be felt for much of this week - and could be of intensity of 4 or greater.
Local Governments to Receive Children's Pfizer-BioNTech Coronavirus

Vaccines
The Central Epidemic Command Center say it's now distributing (分發) 550,000 doses of the Pfizer-BNT coronavirus vaccine for children to local governments.
The vaccine is for children aged between 5 and 11 and will be used for the upcoming second-dose rollout (準備打第二劑).
According to the center's medical response division, local governments will arrange for children to get vaccinated at hospitals or schools.
The epidemic command center is currently in negotiations to purchase Pfizer-BNT's coronavirus vaccine for children aged between 6 months and 4 years.
Russia warns Lithuania

In world news....
Russia has warned Lithuania of "serious" consequences (嚴重後果) after it banned the rail transfer of some goods to the Russian territory of Kaliningrad.
Senior security official Nikolai Patrushev says Russia "will certainly respond to such hostile actions (敵意行動)."
Lithuania says it is only following the EU sanctions (制裁) imposed over Moscow's invasion of Ukraine.
Kaliningrad - a strategic region where Russia's Baltic Fleet is headquartered (俄國波羅的海艦隊總部)- has no border with mainland Russia.
The western territory was annexed (併吞) from Germany after World War Two in 1945 and is bordered by EU and Nato members Lithuania and Poland.
The region - where an estimated one million people live - relies heavily on imports of raw materials (原物料) and spare parts (備用零件) from Russia and the EU.
Regional governor Anton Alikhanov said the ban would cover around 50% of the items (物品) that Kaliningrad imports.
