Government bemoans artists' China propaganda posts

The government has released a video calling for the "immediate stop to actions harming national sovereignty (國家主權)."
The move comes after several popular Taiwanese artists shared Chinese social media posts saying that Taiwan is a "province" of China.
According to the Mainland Affairs Council, the singers, actors and TV anchor shared messages from Chinese state-media in which they echoed (響應) remarks by China's foreign minister that contradict (違反) the government's official
policy on cross-strait relations.
Wang Yi told reporters at a press conferance on the sidelines of the National People's Congress (全國人大) last Friday that "Taiwan's only designation at the U.N. is 'Taiwan Province, China.'"
The MAC says more than a dozen Taiwanese artists based in China shared the messages on Chinese social media platform Weibo.
Formosan black bear captured again, much thinner than before

A Formosan black bear that had been previously caught and released into the wild in Hualien has again been captured after being spotted limping (跛腳) while scavenging for food (到處找食物) in Yuli Township.
The Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency says it caught the bear by trapping (設陷阱捕獲) it on a fruit farm.
The bear has been identified as "Da qu-ali 達古阿里" and wears an electronic collar around its neck to check on its health.
The bear was examined by an onsite vet (獸醫), who found it had lost 28 kilograms since being last released into the wild in early December of last year.
It now weighs 63-kilograms and its left hind leg had sustained new wounds (左後腿有傷口) after having had recovered from previous injuries.
According to the nature conservation agency, whether the bear will be returned to the wild again or get long-term care in a facility will be determined later.
Ceasefire Talks to end Russia-Ukraine War

Two senior Ukrainian officials say a Kyiv delegation that will meet with America’s top diplomat in Saudi Arabia will propose a ceasefire with Russia covering the Black Sea and long-range missile strikes (長程飛彈攻擊).
The officials say the delegation is ready to sign an agreement with the United States on access to Ukraine’s rare earth minerals (稀土礦藏).
That's a deal that U.S. President Donald Trump is keen to secure (急切想要掌握).
The Ukrainian delegation is due to meet with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio later today.
Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelenskyy is also in Saudi Arabia but will not attend the talks.
Zelenskyy met with the kingdom’s powerful crown prince Monday evening, with the president saying they “had a detailed discussion on the steps and conditions needed to end the war and secure a reliable and lasting peace (可靠並且可以維持長久的).”
