Many Countries Criticized Israel

UN ambassadors have condemned Israel's plans to "take control" of Gaza City as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insisted it was the "best way" to end the war.
During a press conference, which Netanyahu said was intended to "puncture the lies (戳破謊言)", the Israeli leader said the planned offensive would move "fairly quickly" and would "free Gaza from Hamas".
He also claimed Israeli hostages held in Gaza were "the only ones being deliberately starved (故意讓他們挨餓)" and denied Israel was starving Gazans.
Meanwhile, Israel came under heavy criticism at an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council on Sunday, with the UK, France and others warning the plan risked "violating international humanitarian law (人道法律)".
Along with Denmark, Greece and Slovenia, they called for the plan to be reversed, adding it would "do nothing to secure the return of hostages and risks further endangering their lives".
Armenia-Azerbaijan react to "peace deal"

Residents and politicians in Armenia (亞美尼亞) and Azerbaijan (亞塞拜然) are responding with cautious hope after their leaders signed a U.S.-brokered agreement aimed at ending decades of hostilities (敵對).
Reactions are mixed. Some are hopeful for peace and others are skeptical about the agreement's impact and fairness.
While not a formal peace treaty, the agreement marks a significant step toward normalizing relations.
The deal follows Azerbaijan's military victory in 2023, which shifted regional power dynamics (改變了該地區強權的動態).
The agreement includes a new transit corridor (廊道) named after Trump, highlighting reduced Russian influence.
