Constitutional Court Tells Legislature to Reach Agreement over President's

The Constitutional Court has made a ruling on a government oversight amendment (監督政府的修正案) passed by lawmakers in May regarding the president giving an annual state of the nation address to the legislature.
The ruling came after the court heard oral arguments on the constitutionality (合憲性) of the oversight amendments.
According to the court, it's requested the Legislature's representatives consider deleting an amended clause regarding the presidential address and to reconcile (和解) with petitioners (提案人)- as it had been agreed there would be no penalty for noncompliance.
The hearing comes after the D-P-P legislative caucus, the Cabinet, the Control Yuan and the Presidential Office all filed separate requests for judicial rulings on the controversial government oversight amendments.
Bad Weather Curtails Rehearsals for Chiayi Air Base Air Show

The Air Force has been forced to scale back (縮減) rehearsals (排練) for this coming weekend's air show at the Chiayi Air Base.
According to the Air Force, adverse weather conditions resulted in rehearsals for some of the more tactical movements (表現戰術的動作) being cancelled.
However, the Ministry of National Defense says this Saturday's event will still be taking place as scheduled from 9AM to 4PM.
The air show will feature F-16, Mirage 2000-5 and I-D-F fighter jets as well as a display (表演) by the Air Force's Thunder Tiger Aerobatics Team.
Black Hawk helicopters will also be conducting a battlefield search and rescue demonstration.
The Chiayi Air Base is home to the Air Force's 4th Tactical Fighter Wing - which operates American-made F-16V fighter jets.
