MOE Advising Flexible Deadlines for High School Portfolios

發佈於 2021-10-01 15:58:02

The Ministry of Education is advising schools to offer flexible (有彈性的) deadlines for high school students to hand in their portfolios (學習歷程).

The online platform which contains the portfolios and study histories of thousands of high school students was reporting major slowdowns (速度慢), as the September 30th deadline approached.

The MOE says due dates (到期日) for student portfolios were staggered (錯開) in past years, but due to the COVID-19 outbreak and suspended classes this year, all due dates were set for the end of last month.

However, the recent influx of online traffic has caused students and educators to see slow going when using the system, and even left some unable to log in.

This comes after files for over 7-thousand-800 such students were accidentally erased (刪除) during a recent system update, affecting files uploaded from September 5th to the 22nd.

Flooding in the northern and central regions has already displaced (流離失所) thousands.
