Reservation for Moderna Boosters Full

The Central Epidemic Command Center says supplies of the Moderna coronavirus vaccine will be restocked (補貨) in time for the next national vaccination round.
The statement comes after it was confirmed that all 350,000 currently available appointments for the Moderna shot are fully booked (全數預約完).
Epidemic command center spokesman Zhuang Ren-xiang says a new batch of Moderna vaccines is scheduled to arrive in Taiwan next Monday.
And according to Zhuang, the arrival of more Moderna shots means the brand will continue to be available in the next round of appointments, which is expected to start next week at the earliest.
However, Zhuang has not said how many doses of Moderna will arrive in the new shipment.
Taiwan Lantern Festival Main Displays Unveiled

The main displays for this year's Lantern Festival in Kaohsiung have been unveiled.
The main lantern shows a Mikado pheasant (帝雉) standing on top of Jade Mountain shrouded (遮蔽) in clouds.
The Tourism Bureau says the design for the lantern was inspired by modern Chinese calligrapher (書法家) Dong Yang-tze's work, depicting (描繪) the character for "phoenix" in Chinese, and was co-created with artist Benson Lu.
The 18-meter tall lantern will be on display at the Wei-Wu-Ying Metropolitan Park.
The Lantern Festival in Kaohsiung will run from February 15 through 28.
Biden Predicts Russia Will Invade Ukraine

U.S. President Joe Biden says he thinks Russia will invade Ukraine.
During a press conference, Biden says he thinks his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin will "move in" on Ukraine, but does not want a "full-blown war".
The President is also warning Putin that his country would pay a "dear price'' (付出慘重代價) in lives lost and a possible cutoff (截斷) from the global banking system if it does.
Biden’s comments went well beyond the formal intelligence assessments (評估) described by White House officials, which conclude that Russia’s president has not yet decided whether to invade.
Biden also said a "minor incursion'' by Russia would elicit a lesser response.
He later sought to clarify that he was referring to a non-military action, such as a cyberattack, that would be met with a similar reciprocal response.
First aid flight leaves for Tonga after big volcano eruption

The first flights carrying fresh water and other aid were finally able to leave for Tonga.
They could do so after the Pacific nation's main runway was cleared of ash left by a huge volcanic eruption.
A C-130 Hercules military transport plane left New Zealand carrying water containers, kits for temporary shelters (暫時收容所建築套件), generators (發電機), hygiene supplies (衛生用品) and communications equipment.
Australia was also preparing to send two C-17 planes with humanitarian supplies (人道救援物品).
The flights were due to arrive in Tonga on later today.
U.N. humanitarian officials report about 84,000 people, that's more than 80% of Tonga's population, have been impacted by the volcano's eruption.
Homes were destroyed, drinking water was polluted by volcanic ash, and the single fiber-optic cable that connects Tonga with the world was likely severed (切斷).
Tonga has so far avoided the widespread devastation (大規模毀壞) that many initially feared.
