The Air Force says the wreckage (殘骸) of an AT-3 advanced jet training
aircraft (教練機) has been found in Kaohsiung.

Search and rescue crews are now at the crash site (墜毀地點) and reports say
they have found the body of the plane's pilot.

The aircraft disappeared from radar at just after 8 o'clock this morning
while on a routine (例行性的) training flight.

The pilot has been named as Lieutenant Xu Da-jun, who was in the 110th class
of the Air Force Academy (空軍官校).

The Air Force says further information about the incident will be released
soon.

The AT-3 is developed by the Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation of
Taiwan in collaboration (合作) with American aircraft manufacturer Northrop.

The Transitional Justice Commission (促轉會) has been formally disbanded
(正式解散) after four years.

The government agency was formed on May 31, 2018 to investigate injustices
during the Martial Law era (戒嚴時期).

According to the commission it has reviewed more than 7,000 political cases
and overturned (推翻) nearly 6,000 wrongful convictions (定罪) since it was
formed, and has also worked to remove symbols of authoritarianism (威權象徵)
and preserve historical sites of injustice.

The work of the agency will now be passed on (傳遞給) to several other
government units including the Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Education.

One of the commission's final recommendations was that images of former
president Chiang Kai-shek be removed from the island's currency (台幣).

In world news...

European Union leaders have agreed plans for a partial Russian oil embargo
(石油禁運) in a midnight breakthrough at talks in Brussels on Monday.

The compromise deal was reached after weeks of deadlock (僵局) among EU
countries on the bloc's sixth package of sanctions to be imposed on Moscow
over its war in Ukraine.

Rosie Birchard is at the summit in Brussels.

French authorities have defended police for indiscriminately (不分青紅皂白)
firing tear gas and pepper spray (胡椒噴霧) at Liverpool supporters at the
Champions League final.

They blame industrial levels of fraud (大規模詐欺) that saw 30,000 to 40,000
people try to enter the Stade de France with fake (假的) tickets or none at
all.

After a meeting into Saturday's chaos, the ministers of the sport and the
interior shifted responsibility (把責任轉給) onto the Liverpool fans while
not providing details on how they were sure so many fake tickets were in
circulation (流通).

The final, which Liverpool lost 1-0 to Real Madrid, kicked off 37 minutes
late.

Canada is getting ready to cap (設限) the market for handguns with a new law.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's government has introduced
legislation that would put a national freeze (全國凍結) on importing, buying
or selling handguns.

The government says the bill would also allow for the removal of gun licenses
(撤銷執照) from people involved in acts of domestic violence or criminal
harassment (觸犯刑法的騷擾), such as stalking.

The government also plans to fight gun smuggling and trafficking (走私偷運)
by increasing criminal penalties, providing more tools to investigate
firearms crimes (槍枝犯罪) and strengthening border measures (邊境管制).

Trudeau has long had plans to enact (立法) tougher gun laws.
