Foreign Minister Joseph Wu is pledging an additional 4-million U-S dollars to
Ukraine on behalf of (代表) Taiwan -- saying that the aid is aimed at helping
the war-torn (被戰爭撕裂的) country rebuild its schools and infrastructure
(基礎建設).

Wu made the announcement during a video call with the mayor of Ukraine's
second largest city Kharkiv.

According to the foreign minister, the government will donate 2-million U-S
dollars to Kharkiv and 500,000 dollars each to the local governments of four
other cities.

Wu says he hopes that the donations will help to rebuild the cities'
infrastructure damaged by the war.

The 4-million U-S dollars in aid is the second donation by Taiwan to Ukraine
since Russia invaded the country on February 24.

The new edition of Taiwan's International Driving Permit (國際駕照) will have
the word "TAIWAN" on the cover to make it easier to identify (辨認) where the
document was issued.

The new permit will be launched on July 1.

According to transport ministry officials, the new cover retains "Republic of
China" at the top, with "TAIWAN" in English capital letters printed above
"International Driving Permit."

Officals say the change is intended to protect the rights of the country's
citizens to drive abroad.

Mexican authorities say Hurricane Agatha caused flooding and mudslides that
killed at least 10 people and left 20 missing in southern Mexico.

Officials say rivers overflowed (溢出) their banks (河岸) and swept away
(沖走) people in homes, while other victims were buried under mud and rocks.

Agatha made history as the strongest hurricane ever to come ashore in May in
the eastern Pacific.

It made landfall Monday afternoon on a sparsely populated (人煙稀少的)
stretch of small beach towns and fishing villages.

South Korean boy band BTS brought their star power to the White House on
